Welcome to the Homepage of the 10439 Historic Engines Olten - Team.
Our association stems from a few engine drivers, who have been employing themselves for years for the Ae 3/6 II 10439. On the 1st of May 2004 the association was founded by colleagues, from different jobs, not always related to rail, who were interested in historic rolling equipment. From the early days on we deal with the restoration of the old outbuildings, as well as with small maintenance on various vehicles on rails. Meanwhile the number of vehicles to maintain, transferred from the SBB Historic to our association, grew from 1 to 7 engines, one of which is the legendary «Red Arrow - Rote Pfeil».
During the whole year our engines undertake several journeys, which is also in order to prevent damage due to extended immobility.
The association holds regular meetings in order to schedule the annual maintenance of the respective engines. Three times a year, we furthermore organise excursions, so-called „Fitnessfahrten“, during which we move some of the local engines out of the depot.
We organise fix planned Depot-tours, and we also offer such tours to associations and firms, for a fee. On demand, these occasions can come with an aperitif or a snack.
